Session 1: Using Corporate Intranets to Improve HR Outcomes
The corporate intranet, simply put, is a website for employees to get work done. The corporate intranet combines features like forms, documents and workflows to automate many tedious processes that may hamper productivity and overload HR departments. Among common workloads that can be incorporated into the Corporate Intranet we have seen include travel approvals, travel claims, overtime approvals, overtime claims, stationary requests, parking space requests, training management, & etc.
In this session, we would share our experiences on how to start looking into a corporate intranet, how to select the workloads, what to look out for when planning for forms and workflows and what are some of the dos and don’ts when embarking on such an exercise.
Session 2: Using Enterprise Social to Improve HR Outcomes
Social style communication is all the rage now. Whether its Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter etc. It allows employees to connect, discuss and update each other without taking the time to meet personally. These discussions not only keep everyone up to date on issues, but at the same time also surface undercurrents that may be going on in the organization, and also help identify employees & managers who are problem solvers and mature communicators.
In this session, we would take a look at a few Enterprise Social Collaboration tools from Microsoft’s Office365 suite, and run them through different HR use cases in the areas of employee motivation, problem discussion, process improvement etc.
